There are three main Marshlands near Colombo, they are : Kotte Marshes ,Aththidiya Marshes & Thalangama Marshes .The only left ,enough spaced marshland nearest to the Colombo city is Kotte Marshland .Its also named as Diyawanna / Baddagana / Jayawardhanapura Marshes .
Kotte Marsh is a popular landing place to waders and a good habitat for them to spend their vacation .
Unfortunately today this protected area is loosing it's land day after a day continuously , So lets do something to protect it ! This is just a one little try to protect it !
